Does our equipment spread infection?

We receive many questions regarding our alcohol detection sensors and whether its handling can transmit infection to the user.

Currently (April 2020), global research is underway on the virus’s ability to spread.

The theories range from aerosols to droplet transmission. When research findings align, we will commence a study to understand how our equipment contributes to or prevents the spread.

What we know today is that our wall-mounted equipment is entirely touchless and withstands cleaning. Our customers can also change filters more frequently than previously recommended. Furthermore, a workplace should consider recommendations regarding queue management, material handling, etc.

Regarding recommendations for customers incorporating the sensors into other applications, unfortunately, we cannot go beyond the above statement. We are confident that no reputable company could guarantee that the handling of their technology cannot contribute to infection. Not even healthcare technology companies.
