aSENSE VAV h.Display

aSENSE VAV is a standalone controller that measures CO₂ concentration and temperature in ambient air. It also has a terminal for extra functions (e.g. manual override) and it is prepared for Modbus. The unit is a key component for climate control of rooms where the number of people occupying it varies.

aSENSE VAV is a standalone controller with built-in sensors for temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide. The unit measures both CO₂ concentration and temperature in ambient air and transforms the data into analogue and digital output signals, which are used for controlling air supply on demand. Additional cooling compressor for dehumidification may also be controlled. aSENSE VAV is for installation in the climate zone or in a ventilation duct.

A common application for aSENSE VAV is controlling ventilation in rooms occupied by people. The sensor is flexible and designed to suit many different ventilation strategies. It is a key component for energy-effective, healthy climate control of rooms where occupancy varies, like schools, nurseries, cinemas, sports centres, and libraries, etc. The ventilation control based on temperature and carbon dioxide measurements can be combined with control of humidity. To avoid condensation problems, it is often necessary to measure humidity in air conditioning and other cooling applications.

This sensor is a basic component to be used in many different ventilation applications, as well as in industrial/agricultural process controls.
