What is Senseair S12 CO₂?
Senseair S12 CO₂ is Senseair’s smallest true NDIR CO₂ sensor, developed for compact products where accurate CO₂ measurement, low power consumption and long-term stability all matter. It is well suited for indoor air quality monitoring, wireless systems, demand-controlled ventilation and embedded CO₂ sensing.
What makes S12 CO₂ different from other CO₂ sensors?
S12 CO₂ brings true NDIR CO₂ measurement into a very small sensor format. It combines a solid-state optical design, LED light source, low peak current and digital communication, making it a strong choice for products where space and power are limited but measurement quality still needs to be dependable.

When should I choose S12 CO₂ DT instead of standard S12 CO₂?
Choose S12 CO₂ DT when automatic background calibration cannot be relied on as the main stability mechanism. In permanently occupied environments, the sensor needs to remain dependable without assuming that the room will regularly return to outdoor CO₂ levels.
Does S12 CO₂ use NDIR technology?
Yes. S12 CO₂ uses true non-dispersive infrared technology. NDIR measures CO₂ directly through infrared absorption, which is why Senseair continues to build its CO₂ sensing platforms around this optical measurement principle.
